I never really understood what Yanks saw in Jon Stewart.

He just isn't funny. Maybe its because in general Americans lack the 'piss-take' gene that other Anglo descended countries pass on to their citizens.

Anyhew, I just watched him do the Oscars, and he was pretty damm good there.
